Did you know that military spouses can use up to $4000 in MYCAA scholarship funds for healthcare and IT training through UMKC TalentLink and MedCerts? UMKC TalentLink and MedCerts have partnered to provide high-quality certification programs in the in-demand healthcare and IT industry.

The My Career Advancement Account program (MyCAA) scholarship offers military spouses of certain active duty service member ranks up to $4000 for education training, licenses, certificates and degrees. This funding is provided through the Department of Defense and MedCerts is an approved provider of MyCAA programs.

UMKC stands as a dedicated Military Friendly School, offering service members and their families access to higher education and careers that are both in high demand and portable.

UMKC Talentlink offers 30+ allied health and IT programs, powered by MedCerts, aimed at enhancing skills in civilian roles.

Spouses of Active Duty Service Members can access the MyCAA scholarship, a Department of Defense program offering up to $4,000 in financial aid, promoting the pursuit of educational credentials leading to sought-after, transferable careers. The enrollment team, composed entirely of Military Veterans, ensures tailored program recommendations for prospective students.

HOW TO GET STARTED
  • Review and select a MedCerts healthcare or IT program that interests you.
  • Click the button on the Request Information form to indicate whether you are serving in the military or are the spouse of an active duty military service member.
  • An Admissions Advisor will contact you to learn more about your interest, share details about the program, and the MYCAA funding program for financial aid.
