Stories are the most powerful and memorable way of communicating important messages – whether it was the ancient from Greek myths to Biblical parables to epic heroes on Disney journeys. Today technological advances have given leaders a wide array of tools to tell stories – video, website, social media, email, presentations, advertising — yet not all tools work for all stories. In this class, you’ll learn which tools are best for which kinds of stories, and how to be a master of those tools.
- An overview of the strengths and weaknesses of different tools (video, presentation, written, visual, website, social media and others)
- How to structure the core message a story, the challenge, the arc, the resolution.
- Writing vs. public speaking
- Business-case applications
- Interactive practice
