Coaching and Providing Feedback to Others

April 7 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm CDT

This virtual seminar is split between two consecutive days. Participants must attend both sessions to complete the seminar. Registration covers both sections.

Part 1: April 7 | 8:30am – 12:00pm
Part 2: April 8 | 8:30am – 12:00pm

Feedback is something few people actually want to give, much less receive. But feedback is more important now than ever; we need feedback to let us know how we’re doing, and that’s critical in today’s WFH environment.

We will also explore structured frameworks to help you approach coaching in an organized fashion and to let you focus on your areas of greatest need. The bottom line – we are not all born as perfect leaders but we can all work on the skills that we need to help those around us do their best.

This interactive session will explore both sides of feedback, how to give it as well as how to receive it to improve our own performance. We will do live exercises to practice new skills. Likewise, we will explore practical tools for effective coaching.

Key Topics

  • Developing and motivating direct reports and others
  • Learning how to give difficult feedback and resolve differences in a productive manner
  • Managing up, across the organizations and down to direct reports
  • Identifying behaviors, skills and characteristics of effective coaches
  • Helping others set goals
  • Understanding the characteristics and benefits and challenges to providing feedback

Who Should Attend

Anyone who needs to increase their influence and ability to get work done through others.
